Academic Council

Colleges around the country are a large and vital resource for the training and inspiration of the next generation of security policy practitioners. Unfortunately, the potential of this country’s institutions of higher learning to contribute to the war effort is largely unrealized, due primarily to the hostility of many professors to our government’s leaders, policies, and objectives.

Fortunately, there are a number of influential national security scholars who subscribe to the philosophy of peace through strength and are striving to equip their students to apply it in their studies. The Center is proud to have enlisted eightteen of these professors as members of its Academic Council.  The Council’s goals are to:

  • Help in the education and development of the next generation of robust academics and policy practitioners in the defense, national security, international affairs, intelligence and related fields.
  • Serve as a networking vehicle among established and emerging scholars, their students, prospective students and the policy community.
  • Promote the intellectual work of its members, their colleagues and students, and to ensure them the greatest possible exposure.
  • Ensure that no professor or student in the field feels intellectually or professionally isolated on account of his or her commitment to robust foreign and defense policies.
