Since 1990 the Center has been researching and raising the alarm about the threat of Islamofascism, long before the 9/11 attacks. Through the various programs and initiatives of the Islamist Project, we explore the sources and manifestations of this ideology and promote political warfare, economic and financial divestment, and other techniques for countering Islamism.

In particular, the Center is working with our natural allies in this struggle: non-Islamist Muslims, who are at an even greater risk from the Islamofascists than non-Muslims. In 2006, the Center launched “Muslims Speak Out” an international outreach program designed to provide a public forum in the United States and overseas for calling attention to adherents to Islam who reject the repressive, totalitarian ideology of the Islamists and empowering them to make a difference in combating their inflamatory and hateful rhetoric.

Launched with a conference in Paris on March 13th, 2006 that was co-sponsored by France’s Institute pour la Defense de Democratie, this initiative features monthly events and a website devoted to promoting the views and activities of anti-Islamist Muslims.
