Poll: 70% Support Taking Action on EMP
Most Democrats, Republicans and Independents support the SHIELD Act.

By a wide margin, Republicans, Democrats and Independents support taking steps to harden American infrastructure to withstand the effects of an Electromagnetic Pulse event. In a new nationwide telephone survey sponsored by the Center for Security Policy on the SHIELD Act, 70% favor Congress passing a law to install devices in the national power grid to protect against such an event. The survey of 1000 adults was taken by The Polling Company between July 11 and 14th, 2013.
