The Supremes Give Cover to Islamic Supremacism
The Supreme Court this week demonstrated once again the cluelessness of our government about Islamic supremacism. Effectively, it agreed that shariah-adherent female Muslims’ constitutional right to religious freedom requires U.S. employers to enable them to wear on the job symbols of their commitment to that totalitarian program.
The trouble is, shariah is less a code of religious practice than it is a repressive political doctrine. When Muslims require women to cover up, they manifest their submission to shariah – and their affinity for its direction that all non-Muslims be compelled to do the same.
The Supreme Court’s ruling Monday will facilitate such efforts. In the mistaken belief that they are protecting freedom of religion, the justices have given new license to Islamic supremacists to demand still further, liberty-sapping concessions from the rest of us.
