Thuy (pronounced “Twee”) Lowe was a congressional candidate of Florida CD5 in the 2014 race. As a child, Thuy along with her family was airlifted out of South Vietnam and onto the USS Midway on April 29, 1975; it was in one of the last helicopters to leave the roof of a diplomatic compound on that day. Her family escaped the brutal Communist forces that have dominated Vietnam ever since.
