There’s good news and bad news in the Supreme Court ruling yesterday concerning President Trump’s latest executive order imposing a pause on most immigrants from six failed and/or hostile nations.

The good news is that the President’s right to restrict such immigration has been affirmed, at least implicitly – repudiating lower courts’ insistence that this particular president lacked such authority.

The bad news is that the Supremes have created a new class of potentially dangerous foreign nationals who – on the basis of a claimed “special relationship” to American citizens – will be entitled to litigate their entry into the United States.

What matters most now is whether – after all the thrashing over pausing immigration until a system is instituted for vetting and keeping out potential jihadists – President Trump will adopt Sharia-supremacism as the only sensible basis for such screening?

He can, and he must.
