Biden must stand against communism’s ‘failed system’ in Peru

Last week, Joe Biden declared “Communism is a failed system, a universally failed system. And I don’t see socialism as a very useful substitute.”

Those words were uttered in the context of U.S. policy towards courageous Cubans demanding an end to the communist regime that has misruled their island for decades. They apply equally to the policies Mr. Biden’s own administration is seeking to foist on this country in the hopes of “fundamentally transforming” our economy, security and individual liberties.

An even more immediate test of President Biden’s actual attitude towards communism is in another Latin American nation, Peru. His administration seems indifferent to the prospect that a Marxist takeover of that country is imminent – with disastrous implications for Peru, the region and us.

We must stand with freedom-loving Peruvians and against the “failed system” that is poised to enslave them.
