Budgetary discipline requires that Joe must go

President Biden’s meeting today with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will address whether spending constraints are attached to a bill that will raise the U.S. debt ceiling.

The best way to accomplish real budgetary discipline, however, would be to secure the resignation from the presidency of a man who has over five decades in government proven to be an inveterate binge-spender.

Fortunately, the probability of that outcome continues to grow, albeit not because of the harm done by the trillions of dollars he’s added to the liability side of the federal balance sheet.

Rather, as evidence continues to accumulate that Joe and his son Hunter betrayed our country by selling not only access, but state secrets, and congressional inquiries ramp up that could lead to the President’s impeachment, next week’s State of the Union address seems likely to be his last. Thank God.
