A primer on Chinese information operations
Published by the Strategic Studies Institute, Toshi Yoshihara’s monograph “Chinese Information Warfare: Emerging Threat or Phantom Menace?” is an excellent primer on the emerging Chinese emphasis on information operations in modern, high-tech warfare.
The author notes how well the emerging principles of information operations comprot with the foundational tenets of the Chinese theory of warfare. He then describes the ways in which Chinese theorists are seeking to use information warfare as a method of assymetrically countering U.S. military dominance.
The monograph is thus a must-read for anyone interested in the burgeoning threat Chinese threat to American interests.
