Last week, the Center for Security Policy’s National Security Group on Capitol Hill was the forum for a special event which included Rep. Allen West (R-FL), former Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith and the Center’s Senior Fellow for Middle East Affairs, Caroline Glick. Transcripts of their remarks will appear in a forthcoming edition of National Security Policy Proceedings, a quarterly journal of opinion published by the Center for Security Policy Press and available in paperback at Amazon.com. Watch the videos of their fascinating presentations, including Q&A, below.

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) spoke on the topic of defense budget cuts, how much to spend on deterrence, and much more.

Douglas Feith, former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy under the Bush administration, spoke on the topic of international law. The State Department’s top lawyer, Harold Koh, is a strong proponent of following the “norms” of international law. Now, the Obama administration is making the case that a part of the Geneva Convention that the US has never ratified should be accepted in the United States.

Caroline Glick, the Center’s Senior Fellow for Middle East Affairs, addressed the topic of the recent ‘Arab Spring’ in the Middle East and what it means for Israel and the United States.
