Biden nominates pro-Beijing politician to his cabinet

President-elect Joe Biden has nominated an open supporter of the Chinese Communist Party to his cabinet.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh flew the Chinese Communist flag at Boston city hall last September in a gesture of support to the regime in Beijing.
Biden wants Walsh to be his secretary of labor.
Asked about flying the Communist China flag in front of the historic city hall, Walsh said, “I have no comment on that right now.” The Boston Herald reported that Walsh “further declined to talk about it as he left a late morning press conference.”
“If confirmed by the Senate, Walsh would take control of a Labor Department that Biden has pledged to reorient toward workers, with a stronger response to the Covid-19 pandemic including a promise to issue an emergency standard that would protect workers from on-the-job infection,” the Washington Post reported January 8.
