Defend Freedom, Oppose All Forms of Supremacism

At the moment, there is a lot of fevered, yet selective, condemnation of “hatred” and “bigotry” in America. Objections to some manifestations of such behavior, however, risks imposing extreme intolerance in the name of “tolerance.”

The truth is that any form of racially, ethnically, religiously or politically based totalitarian supremacism should be condemned, not just certain ones. These days, though, to paraphrase George Orwell in Animal Farm, some supremacists are more objectionable than others.

This fits a narrative that has been relentlessly promoted of late by what’s come to be called the “Red-Green axis.” Its practitioners – notably, supremacists on the hard Left and their unlikely allies in Islamist circles – are determined to silence those they relentlessly, and increasingly violently, insist are “haters.”

Our constitutionally protected right to engage in truth-telling about all forms of intolerant, hateful supremacism must not be selectively restricted.
