We are told that the two men responsible for bombing the Boston Marathon have no ties to terrorist organizations.  But the evidence continues to accumulate that the Tsarnaev brothers were inspired to engage in their acts of terror by the same thing that impels the vast majority of the world’s terrorist organizations – namely, the supremacist Islamic doctrine called shariah.

The younger Tsarnaev has told investigators that religious fervor prompted the brothers’ attacks.  And USA Today exposed their mosque, the Islamic Society of Boston, as an organization where such fervor is much in evidence.

Fortunately, all Muslims do not embrace shariah and its obligation to engage in jihad.  We cannot ignore, however, the mortal threat posed by those who do – irrespective of whether they can be directly tied to a known terrorist organization.
