Donald Trump transformed his presidency yesterday. When Mr. Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate change agreement, he demonstrated a comparable quality of leadership and courage to that on display when Ronald Reagan defied his many critics, fired the illegally striking PATCO air traffic controllers and boldly – and unmistakably established who was boss.

It cannot have been easy for President Trump to choose this course. The Pope, America’s most important European allies, top industrialists and even his beloved daughter, Ivanka, were adamantly opposed to pulling the plug on Paris. Needless to say, the hard left and its Islamist and other allies will try to make him pay dearly for having done so.

Since Reagan’s time, millions of Americans have longed for a strong leader. By bailing out on Paris, Mr. Trump demonstrated that we have one again, at last.
