Emboldening Putin with National Security

President Obama’s conduct of foreign policy has long been characterized by what can charitably be called national security fraud. Time and time again, the American people have been misled, deceived and endangered by statements and policies that defy common sense and embolden our enemies.

The lies about the Iran deal, the Benghazi video, the rapprochement with Cuba, the hasty retreat from Iraq are cases in point.

The latest example is Team Obama’s portrayal of increasingly aggressive – and threatening – Russian behavior as evidence of Vladimir Putin’s weakness, and of no concern.

In fact, Putin has correctly perceived Barack Obama’s weakness and, like any bully, he’s exploiting it to our detriment and that of others who love or aspire to freedom.

Dissembling while accommodating and encouraging such behavior is worse than fraud. It may get some of us killed.
