Among the most important planks of Donald Trump’s winning platform last year was his commitment to replace the Obama strategy of embracing and empowering Sharia-supremacists with one aimed at defeating them. The outlines of the Trump approach were laid out in a major address the Republican nominee delivered on August 15th.

Mr. Trump explicitly called for countering Sharia, the totalitarian and anti-constitutional ideology that animates the enemies he described as “radical Islamic terrorists.” He promised to stop admitting such foes into our country – a step being reaffirmed with a revised executive order on immigration and refugees. He also vowed to end the “willful blindness” that has enabled “networks in our society that support radicalization.” The Muslim Brotherhood is the prime-mover behind those networks.

The prompt implementation of these commitments must be a top priority for the President’s new National Security Advisor.
