I had the good fortune last night to view the Hollywood premier of a stupendous new film called “Fort Bliss.” Its plot revolves around the often-unsung service and sacrifice of those who wear the uniform of the United States.

“Fort Bliss” poignantly tells the story of a single-parent mom and Army medic and the many painful choices made, day-in and day-out, by those like her and her family.

The movie is brilliantly written, sensitively acted and beautifully shot. It renders a real service since we can’t pay tribute often enough to those who protect the rest of us against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Every American should consider it their civic duty to see Fort Bliss – and strongly recommend that others do the same when it is released on September 19th.
