Freedom’s Last Chance in Europe
When British voters cast ballots tomorrow on whether to remain in or leave the European Union, they will probably be deciding much more than that narrow question. This referendum may be freedom’s last chance in Europe.
Nations across the continent are already facing crushing regulation and galloping socialism dictated by unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels. The European Union says they aren’t allowed to control their borders or set their own immigration policies. And their citizens are prosecuted for speech the Eurocrats, Islamists and the transnational left deem to be “hateful.”
If Britain does exit, there’s a chance that not just its people, but others across Europe will break free, too.
If, however, the Brits yield to the coercive threats from elites on both sides of the Atlantic, liberty and national sovereignty will continue inexorably to erode, over there and here, as well.
