In a powerful hour-long special-order presentation on the floor of the House of Representatives led by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), conservative lawmakers castigated their democratic opponents for failing to support law enforcement and laid the responsibility for months long civil unrest and BLM/Antifa violence at the feet of the Democrat party controlled House, as well as Democrat mayors and governors.

Reps. Ann Wagoner (R-MO) and Dan Bishop (R-NC), each told touching stories about law enforcement officers murder in their districts while Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) read off the names of murdered police officers.

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) called the riot-stricken areas of Wisconsin and nearby Minneapolis, “apocalyptic hellscapes”, and noted, “Antifa is not a myth,” in response to a now infamous statement by Rep. Jerry Nadler. (D-NY).

Tiffany also urged a federal civil rights investigation into the murder of Bernell Trammell, an African American Trump supporter and well known political and religious activist in the city of Milwaukee, and warned that the failure to prosecute political violence would lead to more.

Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) condemned the failure of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s failure to take up legislation to curb the violence, and chastised House Democrats who publicly supported calls to defund the police or excused rioters.

Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) urged an investigation into how rioters were organized and funded saying, “individuals or entities funneling money must be held accountable.” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) noted a recent article demonstrating the link between BLM and violent riots across the country and questioned the decision of major corporations to bankroll the movement led by self-professed Marxists.

Rep. Biggs concluded by urging Attorney General William Barr to the direct the Department of Justice to investigate those involved, including under civil racketeering statutes. Biggs warned that Democrat leaders in riot-torn cities are spreading the message, “we are content with mob rule, and that can’t be the case.”
