Hasan’s Continuing Jihad

there would seem to be little point to further proceedings – except for one purpose: Hasan is anxious to be recognized as a “soldier of Allah”

After nearly four years of delays and other shenanigans, the prosecution has rested in the trial of Army Major Nidal Hasan for the massacre at Fort Hood in 2009, officially trivialized as nothing more than “workplace violence.”

In fact, of course, Hasan’s murderous rampage was an act of jihad, or holy war.  Since he has already stated that the evidence will show he’s the shooter, there would seem to be little point to further proceedings – except for one purpose:  Hasan is anxious to be recognized as a “soldier of Allah” and that his punishment will, therefore, make him a martyr for Islam.

This trial has been a travesty from the get-go.  It must not now be allowed to become a platform for a jihadist to continue his war against this country.
