If we want peace with communist China, prepare for war
The Hawaiian island of Oahu is home to the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet. Ordinarily, it’s a bustling place. In this time of pandemic disease, government shutdown and social distancing, however, it is reportedly eerily quiet – a symptom of our nation’s preoccupation with the myriad domestic crises brought on by the one foreign threat we perceive at the moment: the Chinese virus.

In this time of pandemic disease, government shutdown and social distancing, however, it is reportedly eerily quiet – a symptom of our nation’s preoccupation with the myriad domestic crises brought on by the one foreign threat we perceive at the moment: the Chinese virus.
But experienced national security professionals are warning that the Chinese Communist Party may regard this moment as an ideal one for lashing out, perhaps by invading Taiwan. It has been preparing for such an ambitious operation for years with the deployment nearby of immense amounts of military gear, including advanced ballistic missiles, aircraft and ships.
The PRC is indisputably behaving increasingly provocatively towards Taiwan – and towards us. If we want peace, we better prepare for war with Communist China.
