For thirty-six years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been waging war against us. It began with a national humiliation: the seizure of our embassy in Tehran and fifty-two U.S. hostages.

Today, the mullahs are engaged in a reprise of sorts. As more details about Barack Obama’s appalling nuclear deal leak out, we are learning that the negotiations not only resulted in a diplomatic rout. Our country is once again being humiliated – only this time with far more serious repercussions.

For example, we have just learned that Team Obama has acquiesced to an arrangement by which the Iranians – not our inspectors or the International Atomic Energy Agency’s – will inspect their military facilities.

To suggest that this amounts to a verification regime – let alone a comprehensive and effective one – is national security fraud. And a provocative humiliation.
