John Brennan must go: Willful blindness (at best)
This week, members of Team B II called on John Brennan– Obama’s Natioanl Security Adviser on Counterterrorism– to resign. This security breach was not a first innocent mistake; it speaks to the utter lack of awareness of the enemy we face. This enemy – as we have seen — is eminently knowable. All it takes is the desire to read what jihadis, who everywhere and always fight in the cause of Allah to impose Islamic law, say about their intentions. National security professionals and our leaders have the safety of Americans (rather than the maintenance politically correct fictions and dogma) as their highest responsibility; anything less is a dereliction of duty for which there is no acceptable excuse. Competence — and the safety of the American people — requires a new approach.
