Last weekend, millions of Americans got a firsthand experience of our troops’ sacrifices over the past twelve years.  The new blockbuster film “Lone Survivor” captures in all its horrific gore, the tale of a doomed SEAL mission deep behind Taliban lines in Afghanistan.

How timely that the movie vividly depicts our military’s sense of humanity, morality and duty which got all but one member of the reconnaissance team killed in action.  Similar costs were incurred in Iraq’s Fallujah, Ramadi and Anbar Province, seemingly for naught – thanks to President Obama’s abandoning that country.  The same seems to be in the offing in Afghanistan.

Everyone should see “Lone Survivor,” then resolve that the sacrifices of our dead and wounded will not be betrayed in the future as they have been in the past.
