Today, House Republicans will vote on whether they want to be led in the future by a key member of the same team that has alienated and enraged their voter.

Why the fury? Leaders like Rep. Kevin McCarthy have utterly failed to do what they promised last year: Stopping Barack Obama’s imperial presidency and serial unconstitutional behavior.

We recently got another reason not to want a Speaker McCarthy: He imperiled a necessary Benghazi investigation by suggesting that it was, as Democrats have long claimed, about lowering Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers.

If this is Rep. McCarthy’s record without the top job in the House of Representatives, imagine the mistakes he may make – and the resulting damage – if he occupied it.

Please, if you have a Republican representative, let him or her know right away that you want new leadership, not Kevin McCarthy.
