Open Season on Americans

The wheeling and dealing that resulted in this weekend’s exchanges of U.S. hostages in Iran for convicted Iranian criminals in this country’s prisons – complete with dramatic, last-minute shakedowns by the mullahs – has put a price on the head of every American.

How about you? Do you travel overseas for work or pleasure? Might you have relatives living in foreign lands? Are you or your kids thinking of studying abroad? Or do you serve our nation, in uniform or otherwise, in some other country?

If so, President Obama has just turned you into a commodity – a point possibly underscored by the seizure of three Americans in Iranian-dominated Baghdad, Iraq just as Iran’s last batch of hostages were being turned loose.

Obama may call his latest, odious transaction with Iran a “one-time deal.” Our enemies likely see it as open-season on Americans.
