Frank Gaffney had two guests on his show today who highlighted the dangers currently facing our nation in two ways. We’re beholden to a progressive culture of political correctness which ties the hands of law enforcement at home while our military is overstretched and underfunded abroad.

Gaffney’s first guest was Dan Bongino, a former NYPD office and secret service agent turned best-selling author. Gaffney and Bongino discussed a situation in New York where Mayor de Blasio and the ACLU are taking legal actions against the NYPD, for their surveillance activities on mosques.

Gaffney rightly points out that average people who care about the safety of their families would probably demand that the police do this type of investigation and Bongino made the point that if a white Christian church was plotting against the government, progressives would have no problem with an investigation.

What we’re seeing is political correctness putting people’s lives at risk. Bongino pointed out that Jihadists know this and are using it against us.

Gaffney and Bongino then turned their focus to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Bongino made an explosive claim by saying that a credible source told him the Clintons knew the email server was compromised but continued to use it anyway.

When asked by Gaffney if the FBI will indict, he responded:

“I can’t imagine, given the sensitivities of this and what I’m hearing from people – the open and shut nature of this case – I can’t imagine DOJ is going to punt. There would be a mutiny. Comey is a decent guy with a great reputation and I just don’t think he can have that. His credibility would just be destroyed and decimated. I have to believe they’re going to indict on this.”

In a later segment, Gaffney spoke with Dr. Dan Gouré of the Lexington Institute who painted a bleak picture of America’s military which he said is stretched to the limit overseas while dealing with massive funding cuts.

Gouré actually says we’re nearing a breaking point:

“The military is either going to break today, in the near term if you will because it doesn’t have enough capacity or having paid for capacity, break in the future, possibly on this next president’s watch – when it’s not as modern as it needs to be to fight a Russia, a China, or maybe even a North Korea.”

He also said we’re being tested by Iran:

“The Iranians are deliberately and step by step testing us and every time we fail to respond, we draw the red lines and then let them cross it we create a situation in which the next step they take is not a miscalculation, it is based upon the facts as they see them.”

Gaffney then asked about cyber threats from China which Gouré confirmed saying China is saving money on R & D by stealing ours.

All of this combines to bring one other thing to a breaking point – The patience of the American people.

Our military should be getting the funding it needs and political correctness shouldn’t be allowed to put innocent lives at risk.
