SCOTUS Clears the Way to Stop Importing More Jihadists
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Hallelujah! The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday affirmed the President’s authority to exercise his judgment, just as his predecessors have done, in barring entry to foreigners deemed too dangerous to admit. It’s alarming that four justices rejected not only past practice, but what Congress and the Constitution have clearly authorized – and commonsense dictates – in this regard.
Writing for the majority, though, Chief Justice John Roberts reversed similar nonsense from lower courts. He thus effectively cleared the way for President Trump to adopt a recommendation with respect to the vetting of such aliens offered by the Center for Security Policy and six prominent national security experts in a friend of the court brief.
Just as adherence to Naziism and Communism were deemed to be grounds for denying entry in the past, adherence to Sharia-supremacism should be today. We can’t afford to import more jihadists.
