HENRY NAU, a former senior director for international affairs in the Reagan administration and professor at George Washington University, joins Secure Freedom Radio for a full hour to talk about some of the themes in his new book, Conservative Internationalism: Armed Diplomacy under Jefferson, Polk, Truman, and Reagan.

Throughout the show, Dr. Nau outlines what “conservative internationalism” means,  and talks about using free markets to encourage democracy in other countries. Dr. Nau describes the Jefferson, Polk, Truman, and more recently Reagan administrations as previous successes in conservative internationalism. Based on his own experience in government, Dr. Nau also shares his personal advice for the United States based on its current role in the world, especially in relation to China.
