One of the world’s most dangerous terrorists is expected to appear in federal court today.  Anas Abu al-Libi is a top international jihadist.  The holy war he has waged against us for years included synchronized, murderous attacks on two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1999.

But, after his recent capture by Navy SEALs in Libya, al-Libi will be given all the rights of a criminal defendant.  Apparently, he will also be tried in the city most targeted by his fellow jihadists: America’s financial capital, New York City.

Team Obama wanted to do the same with the jihadists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks.  In the face of public outrage over the costs and difficulties of securing New York, though, they are being held – and tried – at Guantanamo Bay.  So should be Anas Abu al-Libi.
