The Disastrous ‘Clinton Precedent’

Barack Obama once infamously promised to “fundamentally transform” America. The extent of that transformation was evident yesterday as the director of the nation’s top law enforcement agency made the case that Hillary Clinton had violated the law, but declined to recommend that she be prosecuted for doing so.

Former federal prosecutors like Rudy Giuliani and Michael Mukasey strongly disagree that the case against the former Secretary of State couldn’t be successfully tried. Hillary may have avoided indictment, but the politicized Obama-Lynch Justice Department certainly has been.

Of greatest concern is the predictable consequence of this outrageous miscarriage of justice: The “Clinton precedent” will doubtless be seized upon by many others who will handle classified information in an “extremely careless” manner and with impunity. If so, the extensive damage to the national security that Hillary has perpetrated will be only the beginning.
