WEBINAR: Hackable Elections: Cyber Threats and Foreign Interference Threats to US Elections
Americans have come to understand the term “hack” as both a method of cyber intrusion and also a “solution” or “work-around” to life’s common problems. Our foreign and domestic enemies see our election system as “hackable” in both senses of the word. They have and continue to influence our elections through direct cyber-attacks and other “work-arounds” such as economic warfare, psychological warfare, and highly effective influence operations to affect “how” we vote.
On September 30th, the Center’s Director of Infrastructure Security – Tommy Waller – interviewed three experts with deep technical and policy-related knowledge surrounding these foreign and domestic threats to our election systems, each which provided example after example of real cases of election fraud.
The Webinar can be viewed here:
Hans A. von Spakovsky, the Heritage Foundation’s Manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative and a Senior Legal Fellow for the Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies discussed the dangers associated with ballot harvesting and mail-in voting. Hans provided just a few examples of the thousands of cases of voter fraud collected in the Heritage Foundation’s massive “Election Fraud Database.”
Hans also provided a set of suggestions on how federal, state, and local government, and private citizens, can work to maintain the integrity of our elections.
Russ Ramsland, of Allied Special Operations Group (ASOG) discussed the frightening truth about the cybersecurity vulnerabilities associated with America’s election infrastructure. He showed the audience real CNN footage of votes being changed in real time in the 2018 Governor’s race in Kentucky – PROOF – of election Fraud.
Russ also provided an overview of exactly how and where cybersecurity defense should be put in place to defend against this threat.
Kevin Freeman, a Senior Fellow with the Center for Security Policy and host of Economic War Room on the Blaze TV, discussed how America’s enemies “hacked” the 2008 elections with an effective economic warfare campaign designed to crater the U.S. economy and how these same enemies – and especially Communist China – can do the same in 2020. He also covered some of the joint research he has done with Russ Ramsland and the special website established to showcase this information: https://www.economicwarroom.com/myvote
Kevin encouraged the viewers to get educated and shared several shows he offers outside the Blaze subscription that people can watch for free:
Kevin also offers a FREE Battle Plans for each episode at https://www.economicwarroom.com/ [The Battle Plans have full sets of Action Steps.]
Kevin stated that it’s important we spread the word and share the Battle Plans and shows widely.
Kevin’s final recommendation is to Restore the Uptick Rule as one method to defend our nation against economic attack since it would stop the market manipulation potential.
