Has a head of state used his intelligence services to try to influence American elections?

We’re told Russia’s Vladimir Putin did in 2016. It appears Barack Obama may also have used several highly-politicized intelligence agencies to orchestrate a power play that could well result in the rigging of future U.S. elections.

Heretofore, President Obama did virtually nothing to stop successive cyberattacks – and not just by the Russians. Only when Democrats were embarrassed by hacked emails and the chance presented to sully Donald Trump’s victory did he order and make public much-ballyhooed intelligence reports and sanction Russia.

Worse, his administration just declared the states’ election machinery “critical infrastructure.” That creates opportunities for future federal manipulation without precluding cyber assaults since Washington has, to date, utterly failed to protect America’s most critical of infrastructure: our electric grid.
