Daniel Horowitz is a singularly thoughtful and articulate critic of those in power – without regard for their party or position – who are making our time more perilous.

In a column yesterday at ConservativeReview.com, Mr. Horowitz warns of the predictably negative effects on law and order arising from what he calls “the war on police” being waged by Team Obama and its partisans. Unfortunately, he notes they are being aided and abetted by some on the Right who are pursuing what is euphemistically marketed as “prison reform.”

Daniel Horowitz persuasively argues that the present juncture, when law enforcement is under assault by both emboldened criminal elements and the Obama Justice Department, is no time for conservatives to join the Left in eliminating minimum sentences and releasing felons from jail. Like amnesty for illegal aliens, that’s a formula for disaster.
