Why is Nancy Pelosi running interference for the Chinese Communist Party?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has undone months of bipartisan work to end Communist China’s most effective influence operations on America’s college campuses.

Senator John Kennedy’s (R-Louisiana) CONFUCIUS Act, authored to curtail the activities of Communist China’s Confucius Institutes on college campuses, passed the Senate unanimously back in June.

The House companion bill appeared poised for similar passage in the House, with sponsorship by former Clinton administration official Rep. Donna Shalala (D-Florida).

Unfortunately the radical wing of the Democrat party in the US House of Representatives seized control of the process in that chamber and have effectively killed the CONFUCIUS Act.

The CONFUCIUS Act targeted Confucius Institutes on college campuses that were denying intellectual freedom and running influence operations on behalf of Communist China.

It is beyond troubling that Nancy Pelosi and the radical wing of the Democrat party have chosen to side with Communist China in denying American college students intellectual freedom and endangering American security by allowing these influence operations to infiltrate our halls of higher learning.
