Last night, Fox News performed a real public service: It reported (https://bit.ly/1dTMXb2) that America faces a possible existential threat if enemies or natural phenomena destroy the nation’s electric grid.

The report notes the danger of such an attack has been known for years. And if hostile powers don’t subject us to grid-disrupting techniques like electromagnetic pulses, an intense solar storm is certain to do it – possibly in the very near future.

Incredibly, the Pentagon responded with a statement that basically dismissed the EMP threat and declared that it is “reckless and irresponsible” to do otherwise.

In fact, nothing is more reckless and irresponsible than to suggest to the American people that there is no reason to worry about the peril of an essentially permanent loss of power. That’s national security fraud.
