Pro-ISIS graffiti in Washington, DC

While walking down the street in Washington DC, just north of DuPont Circle, I happened across some interesting graffiti on the top of a utility box.

The graffiti says “Allahu Akbar” in Arabic, followed by “ISIS.”

According to reports by The Washington Times and Washington Free Beacon, the pro-ISIS graffiti is popping up all over the Northwest area of DC.

ISIS has spent the past several months terrorizing the Middle East. They have beheaded western journalists, raped and enslaved countless women, persecuted christian minorities and killed thousands of people, all in their quest to establish an Islamic Caliphate.

While it is unlikely that the person who ‘tagged’ Northwestern DC will do anything beyond this petty vandalism, it is highly unnerving to know that there are people walking around our cities with sympathies towards this group of disgusting terrorists.

The FBI is currently investigating these acts of vandalism.
