Can Liberty Survive Political Correctness?
What could have prevented the Brussels attacks and how can we prevent attacks like them from happening in America? These are some of the questions which were addressed on Secure Freedom Radio yesterday when Frank Gaffney spoke to Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, the president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.
Gaffney asked Jasser to compare what happened in Brussels to what’s already happening here and to explain what can be learned. Jasser responded:
“People should realize that these cells are protected by organisms and the nucleus of that cell might be the act of terror and the group that actually commits the act but it’s protected by a bigger cell of ideology, the state of mind of being in the land of Islam vs. being in the land of war and these families that come to live in the West, if they’re Islamists they see themselves as living in the land of war, the enemy is anyone who is non-Muslim, so even though they may not necessarily agree with the acts of terror they will protect the terrorists.”
Gaffney brought up the fact that the head of the NYPD criticized Ted Cruz for observing that a greater presence of law enforcement in these communities in order to help the plight of moderate Muslims.
Jasser agreed:
“That is the ultimate example of why we are losing this war. America was founded on ideology, whether it be religious or political. You cannot follow and use your police resources correctly unless you use the public resources. What are we doing on social media if we can’t follow those who are declaring war on America, who are leaning towards the Jihadist mentality?”
Jasser goes on to suggest that he isn’t even talking about wire taps but just using information that is readily available to the public.
“If the police are telling us Muslims that they’re not going to monitor and they’re just going to wait until those last few days when they put on vests and become suicidal and militants, this is suicide. Liberty will not survive a police force that does not protect our ideas from fascism.”
Finally, Gaffney mentioned Hillary Clinton’s recent meeting with the Muslim Public Affairs Council or MPAC, a group with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and asked Jasser for his thoughts:
“MPAC has on its homepage now that it is working closely with Hillary so if you look at most of the verbiage about countering violent extremism rather than what we want, which is countering violent Islamism, that CVE verbiage came from MPAC over the last eight years and their close relationship with Obama, so we know that the Muslim Brotherhood sympathies are going to continue with a Hillary administration if that were to come to fruition.”
Funny how none of that is ever mentioned in media coverage of the election.
