Beware North Korea’s Dangerous Double-Game

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

Donald Trump was right to scotch a further mission to North Korea last week by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.  That’s so not simply because its dictator, whom the President famously ridiculed as “Little Rocket Man,” is transparently reneging on whatever commitment he made to denuclearize his regime.

Further signs of accommodation by the United States are also unwarranted because of two other developments that are enabling and reinforcing Kim’s bad behavior.  First, as part of Communist China’s escalating Cold War against us, Beijing is easing sanctions and otherwise facilitating its North Korean puppet’s double-game.

No less worrying is the increasingly pro-North complexion and behavior of the South Korean government. America’s leading expert on such matters, Lawrence Peck, warns that we ignore at our peril Kim Jong-Un’s influence operations there and here aimed at perpetuating his regime and its aggressive, hegemonistic ambitions.
