A Game-Changing ‘Ministerial’ for Persecuted Christians

A potentially game-changing three-day meeting kicked off yesterday at the State Department.  Hosted by Secretary Mike Pompeo, this “ministerial” involves diplomats from some eighty nations deemed to be like-minded with us on the fundamental right to religious liberty.

I was honored to attend Day 1 as a representative of the Save the Persecuted Christians Coalition and to share with other participants on the meeting’s margins the Coalition’s powerful new exhibit.  It documents the magnitude of the horror being inflicted upon more than 215 million people around the world – just because they are followers of Jesus Christ.

The Coalition seeks to hold accountable those responsible for such crimes against humanity.  Thank God, the Trump administration seems determined to use this meeting to enlist its diplomatic guests in doing precisely that.
