America’s greatest virtue is that it is ‘governed by consent’: Tommy Waller
As it is the nation’s birthday, it’s perhaps an opportune time to examine what sets the United States apart. NTD speaks to Tommy Waller, the president and CEO of the Center for Security Policy and a recently retired Marine Lieutenant Colonel, for some insight on the matter.
Waller says America is “governed by consent” of the people, as opposed to a religious leader, monarch, or tyrant having full control.
He also outlines threats—both foreign and domestic—to Americans’ freedom, while highlighting the role faith plays in preserving the principles of the nation.
