Axis of Evil at home: Take a look at who’s behind the April 20 protests

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The large April 20 protests in Washington and other cities, billed as “anti-capitalist,” “anti-globalist,” or pro-Palestinian demonstrations, are organized by professionals who have long track records of supporting terrorist regimes and groups around the world.

The Justice Department should break out of its post-COINTELPRO paralysis and take a good, hard look at those involved.

According to the sponsors’ website, a lead speaker is convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, now in prison, but who will deliver a taped address.

Other speakers are Mahdi Bray of the Muslim Public Affairs Council; and Ramsey Clark, founder of the protest sponsoring organization who has openly supported Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi and Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, and who served on the legal defense team of convicted 1993 World Trade Center bomber Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman.

Groups formally signed on to the protests include support apparatuses for Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad; the Basque ETA of Spain; and the FARC narcoterrorists of Colombia.
