Center for Security Policy Announces Members of New Advisory Board

WASHINGTON – The Center for Security Policy today announced the distinguished members of its new Advisory Board during a webinar featuring former Congressmen Pete Hoekstra, Peter King, and Gil Gutknecht previewing Joe Biden’s speech to a joint session of Congress. Former Pentagon advisor Chris Harvin participated as well.

“The Center’s Advisory Committee is comprised of leaders in government, policy, law and business,” said Center President and CEO Fred Fleitz. “They will help advance the Center’s America First agenda, provide advice on key national security priorities, and promote the Center’s work to hold the Biden administration accountable.”

The Center’s Advisory Board will help elevate its Shadow National Security Council Project to foster sound national security policies and provide conservative alternatives to the policies put forward by the Biden-Harris administration. Members will advise the Center’s leadership on vital matters of national security, defense, and foreign policy and help amplify the work being done by the Center’s senior fellows.

The Advisory Board is being chaired by former Ambassador and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra. Hoekstra served as U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands and represented Michigan’s Second Congressional District from 1993-2011.

“The Center’s goal is advancing the security and freedom of America and our allies and partners,” Hoekstra said. “The Advisory Board is made up of people who have dedicated their lives to doing just that. Through our combined knowledge and real-world experience, we will advance the Shadow National Security Project and help position the Center as the leading conservative think tank in the nation.”

In addition to Hoekstra, members of the Center’s Advisory Board include:

Former Congressmen Michele Bachmann; Gil Gutknecht; Peter King; Sue Myrick; and John Shadegg; former Ambassador Kenneth Blackwell; Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin (Ret.); former CIA Director James Woolsey; Professor Angelo M. Codevilla; Christopher Harvin; Todd Huizinga; Pamela Pryor; Dr. Yleem Poblete; Robert Warren; and Victoria Toensing.

Their biographies can be found on the Center’s website by clicking here.
