The Center for Security Policy’s Executive Vice President Christopher Hull, Ph. D. today participated in a Washington, D.C. conference hosted by the Policy Studies Organization, entitled Middle East Dialogue: A New Collective Vision. He delivered a warning in the form of a paper entitled “Erdogan and Europe: The Fox and the Chicken Coop.”

In it, Hull covers considerable ground including Turkey’s gradual movement away from the secular vision of Ataturk and towards Islamic totalitarianism with the ultimate goal of an Islamic state. He then exposes Turkey’s role in the European “migrant” crisis of recent years and its meddling within European governments themselves via domestic political parties.

Hull offered the following key recommendations:

The EU, NATO, and their member countries should:

  1. Openly acknowledge Erdo?an is no longer an ally
  2. Declare catspaw political parties/civil society groups foreign actors
  3. Recognize threat from Sharia-supremacist illegal immigration
  4. Deport illegals within the Schengen Region
  5. Harden outermost borders, including especially by: Dramatically ramping up maritime security around Greece, and
  6. Creating defensible barriers on land bridge from Turkey to Greece/Bulgaria 6. Officially break off negotiations over Turkey’s EU accession 7. Close European Parliament’s EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee 8. Expel Turkey from Council of Europe 9. Expel Turkey from NATO
