Today, on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 jihadist attacks, a conference will take place in Washington to examine whether we are safer now, a decade-and-a-half later. Unfortunately, the selection of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to be its keynote speaker means it will be an exercise in the (willfully) blind leading the blind.

After all, Secretary Johnson has repeatedly shown himself to be clueless about the Islamic supremacism that’s most immediately endangering us. Just last Sunday, he addressed, legitimated and embraced a front group of the global jihad’s leading edge: the Muslim Brotherhood.

In response, Congressmen Steve King, Louie Gohmert and Randy Weber yesterday decried Jeh Johnson’s conduct as “not just willful blindness,” but “malfeasance.” They rightly called on him to renounce the Muslim Brotherhood, and stop dealing with its subversive fronts.

Amen.
