De-sexualize the US Military

The Pentagon released yesterday troubling new statistics about an escalating number of sexual assaults in the military. Some contend the increase is not because more crimes are occurring among those in uniform, just that more are being reported.

The trend, however, certainly seems to be in the wrong direction – especially regarding the soaring number of male-on-male attacks. And, if President Obama continues to “sexualize” the military by insisting that women serve in combat roles and by condoning open homosexuality, he will facilitate, and perhaps actually enable, such misconduct – not prevent it.

At a minimum, service leaders are having to put this social engineering agenda ahead of war readiness, effectively inviting even more problems. That’s a formula for crises in morale, retention and recruitment that just may break the only military we have.
