A new national poll shows Americans are increasingly concerned about their security. With good reason.

International dangers are intensifying. But so are those at home.

A woman was beheaded by a jihadist at her job in Oklahoma last week. The nation’s air traffic was massively disrupted when an employee torched an FAA control center in Chicago.

A plane recently brought here a visitor from Liberia who has been diagnosed with the deadly ebola virus. We have no idea how may people he may have infected along the way, or after he got to Dallas.

Even the White House proved insecure against an armed intruder.

Next month, we head to the polls. That’s an opportunity to return our national security to its rightful place as a top responsibility – and priority – for our elected representatives.
