Grant Newsham is a senior fellow with the Center for Security Policy, an author at One Korea Network, and a former Marine Corps Colonel. He spoke about what he thinks went wrong in Afghanistan, saying, “It was partly a failure of intelligence. But I think, even more than that, it was a failure of performance by the Biden administration, and also by, I would have to say, the top levels of the U.S. military. This was something that should have been foreseen what would happen if they sort of pulled out of Afghanistan so precipitously.”
Newsham also discussed what could have been done differently and what can be done going forward.
