It’s the Shariah, Stupid

Recent developments in the Mideast have exposed the fraud that was President Obama’s claim to have “ended the war in Iraq.” Unfortunately, most of us are still unclear about the nature of the enemies still very much in the fight.

The confusion has grown as the Obama administration considers aiding Islamists of the Shiite stripe in Iraq against Islamists of the Sunni persuasion – including, evidently, some it has been funding, arming and training in Syria.

What these jihadists have in common is that they all adhere to a shared Islamic, supremacist and totalitarian doctrine. They call it shariah and believe that their god, Allah, has decreed shariah will govern worldwide.

Once we are clear about what impels our enemies, we have a chance of defeating them. If we aren’t, we won’t. Period.
