Major Muslim group joins supporters of cop-killer, Saddam Hussein at White House rally
A major Muslim group that has been at the forefront against President Bush’s efforts against domestic terrorists and terrorist support groups is recruiting what it calls “Muslim volunteers” to join a major Washington rally this weekend. The event is organized by an avowed supporter of Saddam Hussein and a defender of a terrorist convicted of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and other attacks.
The Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is recruiting bodies to turn out for the big April 20 protests by the White House. It sent out an e-mail to supporters calling for “Muslim volunteers” to attend the demonstration, calling the event a “Rally for Palestine.”
The protest is a further sign of how left-wing activist groups have evolved from supporting Marxist-Leninist revolutionary movements from the 1960s through ‘80s, to aiding and abetting Islamist suicide bombers and other terrorists of the 21st century. Muslim “civil rights” groups like CAIR are part of the overall coalition.
The rally is
organized out of the offices of the International Action Center, a group founded by Saddam Hussein apologist Ramsey Clark. Clark was part of the defense team for convicted World Trade Center terrorist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, along with a lawyer recently arrested for materially supporting terrorism. Endorsers include an arrangement of gray old supporters of Latin American Marxists to backers of convicted Philadelphia cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
